The Years... They Fly By

I don't have a lot of excuses as to why I haven't written. I -have- been crocheting. There's always a new adventure to be had, you just have to find the muse and means to follow it. So with that in mind, I'd like to show a few of the crochet adventures I've had in the past two years that I haven't written. Definitely not using this owl hat to hide my shame...

This little beauty is an owl hat for my sister-in-law's soon-to-be baby girl. The eyes are a little offset, but hey, it gives the little hoo some character, yes? I found this pattern on Ravelry, but you can also find it here: Repeat Crafter Me. I'm loving her stuff so check out the rest of her site. She's given me some great ideas!

Super cute. Super simple. Super fantastic! I am in love with these slippers and you can find the pattern here: Two Girls Patterns. It is a paid pattern, but it's so worth it. It comes in women's sizes 5-10. And you can do so many different things with it. And another positive: They are super duper comfy!

And the last pattern I am going to show in this post is from one of my new favorite websites for crochet: Moogly! It's seriously fabulous and she has some great patterns listed for free. There's a lot of tips and tricks and hints to help with each pattern she has that might be a little tricky. In any case, I found this little sweater to be pretty easy to do. By the end I was hating shells, but, I have a couple more pairs of those slippers to make in between other projects so I figure when I roll back around to doing another project, I'll be ready to tackle shells like I never disliked them at all!

All this sweater is missing is a couple cute buttons. I think I'll go with owl buttons to complete the look. The sweater is a little thick, so I figure it'll make a nice jacket. The baby will be born in September, so it should work pretty well in the chilly fall air. Ahhh the changing of the leaves. Good times. Anyway!

These are three of my favorite patterns from the past two years. I'm hoping to do some more designing soon. I saw a blanket pattern that I love, but would like to do some changes to. We'll see what the next two years bring?
